I love the Headphones, however I hear a loud static noise coming out of the headset when I touch the ears. I am sure it is just one bad set out of a million but I happen to get it. I changed out both cables thinking that might be the problem, but it was still doing it. Amazon took care of me and is sending me a new pair. Customer service was good and I am looking forward to getting a new pair of Beats By Dre Studio edition.

The bass and overall sound of these headphones are really good. They deliver and if you treat them properly and don't abuse them too much there are no reasons why they won't last. Although a pair of batteries will last about 2 week on average use, it is greatly recommended to buy a set of rechargeable batteries. On the downside, there's the price thing, but apart from that, they a really cool and come with a good protective case.

These are all the fad with high school students these days, not that I know where they come up with the money for them. So, yesterday I asked one of my students if I could try them. I have to admit, knowing a lot about quality sound, they are good. But, they are they worth the price when one can find studio quality headphones for under $100 and even under $50. In fact I didn't think they sounded any better than the Yamaha studio headphone I have that I paid $30 for several years ago. Nor were they any better than any pair of Bose headphones I've tried through the years. Although these other options may not look as "bad" as these Dr. Dre's. So are you looking to buy a fashion statement or great pair of headphones?

iBeats Headphones with ControlTalk From Monster® - In-Ear Noise Isolation - Black Reviews
iBeats Headphones with ControlTalk From Monster® - In-Ear Noise Isolation - Black Reviews
This review is from: iBeats Headphones with ControlTalk From Monster - In-Ear Noise Isolation - Black (Electronics)
First off, I own several pairs of headphones, both in ear and over ear, and the iBeats are above and beyond anything I've used. The first step was finding the right fit (of the 7 tips included, I found 2 that fit perfectly, one regular mold, and the other the "Airlock" style). The standard tips are a snug fit, and allow the bass to hit fairly hard. I have a pair of Koss in ear headphones, and the Bass does hit harder, but the iBeats bass is much cleaner. The "Airlock" style tips fit snug as well, and I found that while in my ears, they were comfortable, but after long periods of wear, after removing them there was some slight pain. I also own a pair of Skullcandy Hesh over ears, and the iBeats again sound better than the Skullcandies. While I would recommend the Hesh to anyone on a budget looking for good sound for your money, I would recommend iBeats as well to anyone that can afford them. The ControlTalk feature is nice for the iBeats as well, and I've had no complaints from anyone... Read more

I really want to like this product. They have a nice feel to them, the sound quality is crisp, the cords are thick, and resist tangling unlike some competing products. My first concern was the lack of bass. They just don't seem to have any kick. That concern was quickly eclipsed though, with a more pressing concern as they are quickly becoming unusable due to ControlTalk issues. I'm very gentle with these headphones, but for whatever reason, they seem to randomly activate either voice control, song pause, skip, etc... I thought I must have bumped the controls at first, but then discovered that just shifting the cable caused some sort of short in the switch to cause all sorts of mayhem- from fast forwarding through tracks, changing tracks, activating voice control repeatedly, etc... Did I get a lemon, or is it an across the board defect? I don't know...

I really like these iBeats. Coming from the Apple in-ear headphones, the sound quality is night and day. Listen to the instructions, and start with the smallest earbuds, then work your way up. I started with the largest of the normal earbuds and the sound quality was horrible. I knew something had to be wrong, day by day, I went to smaller earbuds, and eventually settled on the 2nd to the smallest, which gave me great sound and excellent noise cancellation. That being said, the reason I say don't buy them from Amazon is that you will be extremely upset when they break, and they will break. The ControlTalk remote and mic have stopped working for me twice in a month. Build quality of the earphones are excellent. Build quality of the remote is awful. The remote is loose, flimsy plastic. One remote broke on me the day after I purchased them. Now a month later, the remote on the 2nd pair won't respond to button presses and the mic doesn't work. So where should you buy them to... I had a good listen comparing these to the original Beats. In the end, I must agree with the many others who've tried these, they are MUCH better than the beats. Bass is still predominant, but highs and especially mids are much better represented. I think it's due to the lack of noise canceling, but these are much more lively than the original Beats
At 400$, you're really not paying for sound as much as durability. These are ROCK SOLID, the entire thing is really mostly metal, except the parts with the cushions. I must stress that there are much better offerings from Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Ultrasone (google them if you've never heard of them) IN TERMS OF SOUND. But if sound is not as important for you as durability, such that you're not an audiophile but just an average listener. I promise you these will last. Let me say again, ROCK SOLID.
My biggest warning for everyone who is reading this is the comfort factor. Unlike what you've been hearing from others... Read more

So I am a video producer and editor, and I have used a large number of different brands and styles of headphones. I saw these were reviewed pretty well so I took a chance, and I was extremely underwhelmed by what I got.
They look cool, but I don't really care about that. They also seem to last fairly long, as I have had them for two months now with no issues, and my daughter has been using them for the last three weeks with no issues either. They fit okay, but as everything is metal they are a bit heavy for extended periods. But for $400, I am not paying them to look good and last long, I am paying for premium sound. The bass on these drowns out every other part of the sound. Fidelity is way off. Might be good for people who like that sort of thing, but if you want true sound and you rely on true sound, then stay away. Stay far, far away. You can get any number of brands, AKG, Sennheiser, Bose, that all sound much better and much more true to the reality. Hell,... Read more
