1.0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE!!!!!, August 10, 2012
This review is from: Beats by Dre Wireless Headphones from Monster - Black (Old Version) (Electronics)
BUYER BEWARE:

I purchased a pair of Beats Wireless Headphones on 2/16/2012 from the San Francisco Apple Store, upon recommendation from one of their sales associates. See, I've had trouble in the past with wired models as inevitably one of the speakers would cease to work due to a short. As the Beats Wireless Headphones do not feature a prominent cord and, due to the Apple Representative's recommendation, I took the plunge. Additionally, I was assured by the Apple Rep that the headphones had a year long warranty with the manufacturer. The headphones cost roughly $300 once tax was added in, FYI. Expensive for sure but with such a high cost comes a reasonable expectation of quality workmanship and quality materials. Since purchasing the headphones, I have used them primarily on my commute to and from work at Stanford University with the main action of putting the headphones onto my head via the following: pull Beats headphones out of protective carrying case, unfold the... 1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work, doesn't pair, doesn't do anything..., August 6, 2012

This review is from: Beats by Dre Wireless Headphones from Monster - Black (Old Version) (Electronics)
I was so looking forward to these. They arrived earlier than expected - I was really happy! The nightmare began after unboxing them. They couldn't be paired with any of my bluetooth devices (an iphone 4, macbook pro & a sony xperia p). I tried resetting them as what was written within the manual & guess what - I couldn't even have them reset! Not believing that this was happening, I spent the next 2 hours trying to reset them till my fingers were sore & trying to pair them numerous times but to no avail.

Definitely want a refund from Amazon/Shopzone!!! The crappy thing is that I still have to wait for a few more days before I can make claims according to the policy - certainly didn't have to wait this long for the product to not work!

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR THE GYM!!!!, July 28, 2012
This review is from: Beats by Dre Wireless Headphones from Monster - Black (Old Version) (Electronics)
Before deciding to take the plunge and purchase this headset I searched tirelessly for a good review describing their use and durability in a gym setting, I never really found one. I knew beats made a sport type headset but it was in ear and I didn't want to compromise on sound quality, wanting the full experience that over-the-ear provides. I hope this review will help others trying to make that same decision. Beats Wireless has proven itself very capable of handling daily use in a gym setting. I use them 4-5 days a week. I will break this review into three parts; sound, durability, and ease of use.

SOUND

The most important factor, and I have to say the sound is incredible. It really was like listening to my music for the first time again, which was an awesome experience. The headphones cancel outside noise very well, so I am isolated from distraction when in the gym. I find it easier to focus and increase my intensity when I am lifting while crisp, clear metal... 4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome lil' buds, July 30, 2010
This review is from: Monster Lil' Jamz Headphones (Electronics)
These Little earbuds are by far the best buds i have ever had. the first time i put them in i was blown away by the clarity of the sound, the highs and mids are rich and the bass is decent. I can understand though why many of the bass lovers would not like these because compared to many buds the bass is not as prominant, but in terms of really hearing the music it is just about right. These earbuds are made out of solid metal and are incredibly durable, monster even ran over them with a 4000 pound forklift and they didn't even scratch. the only reason i rated this iteam as a 4 is because they don't stay in your ear very well, but no earbud i hav had stayed in with the silicon tips provided. You can purchase gel tips or foam tips, which i have ordered recently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Headphones, February 18, 2010

This review is from: Monster Lil' Jamz Headphones (Electronics)
I had the Dr. Dre headphones from Monster up until my dog decided to turn them into a chew toy the other day, and I have to say that the Lil Jamz are already superior. I've never pulled headphones out of the box that I haven't had to mess with the tip-sizing until these, which fit perfectly right out of the box. The sound quality isn't quite as good as the Dr. Dre ones, but they stay in your ear better, and the weight of the wire isn't enough to pop them out while you're running or working out, which happened all the time with the old headphones.

Comes with lots of tips for sizing, and a nice little pouch to hold everything. Buying from Amazon was also a better plan, because these were only $80 instead of the $100 or $120 that Monster wanted if you bought right from them.

I highly recommend these headphones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good So Far in Afghanistan, November 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Monster Lil' Jamz Headphones (Electronics)
I am in the Marines and I am deployed in Afghanistan. The order took only 13 days to arrive which is good considering packages from my family take about 10 or 12 days to get here.

The only issue out of the box was the cylindrical sleeve on the jack was loose, this cosmetic issue can be easily fixed with glue. Now comparing these to the IPod headphones I have, they are incredible. Make sure to use the proper size earbud and pull your ear like the instructions say to get a good fit. The bass was rich and the highs were coming in nice and clear. I sampled several songs like, Teach Me How to Jerk (bass), Hotel California, and Fur Elise and they all sound great to me. If you are having issues keep in mind you can change the EQ settings on your IPod or other MP3 player.

There is revirbiration from the cord. It sounds like those cheap ass airplane headsets, you know those plastic kind that make a dull sound when ever they touch the arm rest or you hit them, well... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars I would have given them five stars until this morning., September 30, 2010
I bought my Diddy Beats on 8/4/2010 and I've been using them every day since.

Pros:
The bass. It's crazy. I love it. Has to be the best I've ever heard with in ear headphones
ControlTalk is great to answer the phone, music control, and controlling the volume
The flat wires are nice too
A lot of ear buds to select from
Great to exercise with

Cons:
The weight can cause discomfort from time to time
The shape and size of the headphones make them a little uncomfortable at times

The deal breaker:
The volume control stopped working. I've done some research and I do not appear to be alone with this problem. Sure they come with a one year warranty but what good is it if they can break in under two months. I am not rough on my headphones and I do not expect failure this soon. I just filled out my RMA so I hope the next pair hold up better.....

2.0 out of 5 stars Wish I could rate these well....but quality fell short, February 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
So I bought these last week and eagerly awaited their arrival. However, when I finally got them yesterday, my excitement was quickly shattered. On many of the reviews, I read the issues about fit but naturally assumed I would be immune from this gripe. Not so. The headphones are just too heavy, they pull out of the ear no matter what eartip I use. The included foam eartip was the best fit, but still not wonderful. Having had a pair of in-ears previously, I know this is not a normal thing for me. Then the kicker: I specifically bought these to work with my iPhone 4. The controls worked beautifully, but when I tried to place a call I heard a terribly loud background buzz/hum that originally just sounded like I was driving in a car on speakerphone. During the call, however, the sound was so loud on my end, I could barely focus on the call. Additionally, the caller on the other end could hear the noise. It was far too loud to tolerate having a phone conversation. Today I am... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely awful!!!, January 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I got these with the expectation that they would deliver great sound and secure fit. I have been through other head phones and fit was fine. In fact, the fit on these is good, but the chord and microphone are so heavy the earbuds fall out all the time. Forget exercising with them - they are horrid. Also, the sound is not that great. These are not worth the money (although the packaging is very hip!)
